hi guys! new from NC
i just thought i would give a spill about myself cuz i hope to run a few WIP threads later and hope to learn and enjoy the hobby side of 40k first and then the game maybe. about 10 years ago i seen my first 40k match when GW opened of with the brand spankin new concord mills mall. man was it awesome the huge space marine that had in the window must've been 10' tall or better. parent couldnt afford it so it faded from memory. 2 years later working my first job as a bus boy at a steak house a co-worker offered to sell me his slightly assembled few painted necrons for cheap. knowing the battle force was like $90 i was jumping the chance for the $40 purchase, well he brought em in to the hostess stand one night when i was working and told them to give me the box after he left. come to find out he had quit. got home the box was full of complete disappointment so much to the fact that i threw them in the closet and forgot about em. here it is 8 years later and fumbling around on youtube i found Les from awesomepaintjob.com and his videos lead me here and also taugh me that i dont have to play to collect these things. so needless to say i wasted 10 years i coulda been memorizing the rulebook or something. anyway I'm here, i hope to learn and enjoy this stuff. i am starting small i actually bought my own set of SM devastators and once they are complete I'll buy another squad until i have enough table worth troops and vehicles to show up at a local store or club and try to learn the game.
