Need to rejump start the community... hm

I've been gone for a long hiatus.

To cut the news short - one of my parents got laid-off, has been tough financially - especially when it hit before I had to pay for university tuition, which set me back a ton of money out of no where. Dealt with a suicide. Car decided to crap out - had to fix it (I commute 40 mins to my school every day) Taking 20 credits at university (Normal is 13-15), run two jobs. Pay bills.

Then rest of my time has been devoted 110% to Java programming.

I have honestly delayed a couple packages, and I deeply apologize, I wouldn't have done 45+ trades with you fellow RM'ers if I kept that type of deal up. Shit happened, and fully maintaining the site was out of my bounds.

We gotta re jump start the community - we aren't getting as much posting done, maybe thanks to the awesome chatbox, but stillllll.

We are growing nicely, but we need to grow more!

More promotions and activity...

Do you guys have any comments or suggestions on how we can changeup and improve the site to facilitate to your needs?

the tabs are fine for me.

banners is a good idea, like pixelbanners for sigs.

other than that, just generally sly mentionings of the site in blogs and the like.

Tabs are great, i'm loving them. Tactics in certain areas were under pause due to the touranemnt and my uni obligations, but by no means shoudl that stop other people for posting their ideas and tactics. I should fnnish up the project "know thy enemy" and open it up for user comments one all the posts have been made.

What's happening with the competitions?

Tabs are A Ok for me. Maybe a "tutorial" battlefield in which its like a regular battlefield but using things like vassal sprites, expert wargamers can show tactics, moves, and even rulebook inconsistencies. I dunno thats just me not being well versed in 5th

I also agree on Banners! Maybe I'll fish for my old one

Yesh we do need to point more but again We are posting just we don't seem to want to post i do but i have nothing to post about
Sig's with banners in it would be able to promote other sites and on the other sites we would be able to promote this site. as i was sent to this sight by Shortsonfire hehe

But yeh so far so good i like it and the community is really friendly so we just need to keep on trucking and we'll be fine

Shorts thing say he has been banned still i think and last time i talked to him he seems to busy for the hobby anymore
also Tes man you have every right to put some of the burden on the rest of our shoulders as i know most of us would gladly take up anything you need from us mate
just saying you have my axe if it comes to that

Shorts still lurks this site - he was banned - because it was self inflicted - he wanted to be banned.

He was suffering in grades, thus he didn't want the temptation of returning back again.

He WAS the most most active guy around - hopefully he will change his mind.

Hey! I talked to Shortsonfire79 yesterday! I'm pretty sure he's still in the hobby, he talks about playing, but he still doesn't have that finished army to do so... He says hes constantly modeling, but hasn't had the time to go to Forums anymore.

For our Government class, my teacher says that most people don't tend to go to sites where they have to click more than 2 times to get something they want. Personally, I love the RM tabs. Though, like the multiple clicking thing, I'm not sure how appealing it really is.

Hey, i woudl liek to click twice instead of scrolling to infinity if i need something that is on the "bottom" side of the forum - like the bf40k section i really visit frequently. Why edit the tabs out? everybody liked them...

How about a tab for the full chat window. If you do that, put a 'post message' button on the chat window so we can get to it and post from our itouch/iPhones. Posted from my itouch.

I can make a iphone/mobile optimized version of RM - it'll take a loittle while -but it can be done i think.

Not to start another topic...

Why is the RM site giving me a pop-up request that i need to type in my Cool Mini or Not username and password to continue using the site? o.O
I don't have a CMON account, and i just clicked cancel and started using hte RM site, but eery time i open a new page within the site the same request appears (with the explanation "upgrade in progress")

What gives? Tesla, you implementing something from CMON, or is this a random glitch due to the upgrades? Is anyone else having this problem?

that popup is on most forums and CMON it seems to be harmless (dont put anything in anyway), its apprently because they are doing updates and so it also transfers through the code in their banner exchange?

hopefully it goes when they are done.
