    Default Trader rep

Was thinking that we could use the Rep system for something a bit more... meaningful. I see rep now and think, "well that number means next to nothing really..."

So I got to thinking about a few things that it could be used for that would actually make it a useful statistic to have added upon.

Then I seen a blacklist trade thread that had one trader receiving his trades, but another trader having to wait almost 7 weeks to receive his. Now in all fairness both would receive positive iTrader ratings (because both honored their word about shipping said product to one another.), but it's left up to the comments to detail things like shipping time, etc. and there's simply not enough room (nor do we all want to sift through a pile of comments simply to know if the person is a slow shipper.)

So I was thinking that perhaps traders can submit threads (in a new section in Trader info forum perhaps) based on their trades on a few categories:

    • Timeliness
    • Packaging
    • the Actual product overall (was it broken, missing things, etc.)
and based upon this criteria, users would be given rep (or something of an equivalent in case people who wish current rep to reflect things such as contest points, etc.)

So when I go to trade with someone who has like an 80 iTrader rating, but -20 rep, I'd know that maybe dealing with them will be a colossal hassle, etc.

Just food for thought, something I came up with and wanted to share.

    Thoughts?

I think it could be helpful but at the same time, I see alot of people being to lazy to even do it.

Which brings to mind how its hard to get people leave trade feedback in general.

    *reminds me about loken*

See! thats what im talkin about. lol.

yeah some people will need nudges to post feedback, but in the end, I still think it will work (iTrader works and I've had to nudge a few people to leave feedback for me after I had done so for them.)

Word - the reputation system should be revised - will check up on it.
